Additional Free Quit Support for Medicaid Clients
Medicaid coverage in Washington now includes a quit-smoking benefit. Though all Washington residents can receive free quit support at the Tobacco
Quit Line, the benefit means that Medicaid clients can get additional help quitting smoking, including counseling and prescription drugs.
To get help quitting, start by calling the toll-free Washington State Tobacco Quit Line at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-2NO-FUME in Spanish.)
Quit coaches will support eligible callers with free counseling, nicotine patches or gum, and by recommending a prescription medication if appropriate.
Calling the quit line can double a person’s chances of quitting successfully. More than 100,000 people in Washington have already called the quit line for help.
If you are a Medicaid client, learn more about your eligibility for free quit support and call the quit line today.
